A rich, gooey Southern classic with a chocolatey twist and crunchy pecans! 🤎



Ingredients:

* 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

* 1 cup light corn syrup

* 1 cup granulated sugar

* 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

* 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

* 3 large eggs

* 1/4 teaspoon salt

* 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

* 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

* 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

* Extra pecan halves (for garnish)

* Whipped cream (optional, for serving)


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, sugars, melted butter, eggs, salt, and vanilla until smooth.

3. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.

4. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.

5. Arrange extra pecan halves on top for decoration.

6. Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly puffed.

7. Let cool completely before slicing to allow the filling to set.

8. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream if desired.


Pro Tip:

Warm individual slices in the microwave for 10–15 seconds to make the chocolate gooey again – just like fresh from the oven!
